Native to Egypt, Blue Lotus predominately grew among the Nile, and was traditionally used in Egyptian ceremonies to reach a higher level of consciousness. The flowers of the plant are dried, and then can be consumed by being smoked or in tea form. It can also be found in other products, such as perfume. Blue Lotus contains nuciferan and aporphine, and consists of calming, aphrodisiac, anesthetic, anti-diabetic, sedative, euphoric and antispasmodic properties.
