Turnera diffusa The Damania plant is widely recognised as a herbal medicinal aphrodisiac, found in Mexico, Central America and the West Indies. It balances hormones and emotions, and treats headache, bedwetting, depression, anxiety, nervous stomach and constipation. It contains essential oil, resins, tannins, starch, arbutin and barterin. It also doubles as an anti-depressant and calming tonic, and reduces the effects of exhaustion. Made into a tea, it acts as a tonic for the kidneys, sexual organs and the nervous system. WARNING: Side effects of large doses may result in convulsions and other reactions. It is advised that pregnant women avoid this product. Diabetics or people scheduled for surgery should also avoid , as it affects blood sugar levels.
