Mangoes are fleshy stone fruit belonging to the genus Mangifera. They all belong in the flowering plant family Anacardiaceae. The mango is native to South Asia and the highest concentration of Mangifera genus is situated in the western part of Malesia (Sumatra, Java and Borneo) and in Burma and India.
Dried mangoes contain antioxidants, vitamins and minerals such as vitamins C, E, K and B. They also include iron, potassium, selenium and calcium. These prevent and fight off the common cold/flu, nausea, eye infections, bacterial and viral infections. It can also be used as a natural remedy for depression.
All of these components help with preventing cancers such as breast, prostate, skin, stomach, colon and many more. Dried mangoes help prevent and treat constipation, hemorrhoids, diarrhea, rapid weight loss, hair loss, acne and anemia.
