Mangoes are fleshy stone fruit belonging to the genus Mangifera. They all belong in the flowering plant family Anacardiaceae. The mango is native to South Asia and the highest concentration of Mangifera genus is situated in the western part of Malesia (Sumatra, Java and Borneo) and in Burma and India.
Dried mangoes contain antioxidants, vitamins and minerals such as vitamins C, E, K and B. They also include iron, potassium, selenium and calcium.
