This plant possesses potent expectorant properties used to treat bronchial problems, emphysema, whooping cough, and hay fever. It can also be used as a urinary tract disinfectant, and as a remedy for dermatitis caused by poison ivy. Grindelia can be taken as an infusion or be an ingredient in another product.
